Assistant Lecturer(s) in Electrical Trades (2 Year fixed Term Contract. Application details/procedure: School of Engineering. The School of Engineering encompasses three Departments including Electronics/Mechanical Engineering, Building Surveying/Civil Engineering and Trades. There are currently c. 800 full-time students in the School. The School, in conjunction with the Regional Development Centre, is also involved in a wide range of externally funded projects within a number of centres. These include the Centre for Renewable Energy. The Post: The school wishes to recruit an Assistant Lecturer(s) in Electrical Trades. (2 Year fixed Term Contract. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should hold a primary level 6 craft qualification in Electrical, and desirably a level 7/8 in Electrical Engineering or similar. A focus will be on the candidate’s ability to deliver the standards based Electrical curriculum at phase 4 and phase 6 training; however, knowledge and experience of the sustainable / renewable energy market and an ability to deliver in third level and multi- discipline educational environments is desirable."
