BIM Engineer. Louth, Drogheda €Neg. Opportunity for a BIM Engineer with 3+ years experience to join a leading main contractor on a large high tech data facility. In this position the BIM Engineer will provide constructability review coordination, clash resolution, assist in all phases of a project – working with design and construction professionals. Core competencies: • Understanding of building construction and sequencing, basic knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and architectural systems, proficiency in AutoCAD, • Revit, NavisWorks and related software, collaborative with both internal and external team, generation of 3D views, • drawings and visualizations, lift drawings and clash resolution, basic knowledge of local building code, laser scanning, generation of point files, conversion of 2D drawings to 3D models, and delivery of BIM as-builts. Skills Required: • Completion of beginner or intermediate level of training in BIM/VDC software. • Building services/ MEP Experience. • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software is very desirable. • Strong software and general computer knowledge, and an ability to quickly learn new software applications. • Understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP design drawings and shop drawings. • Understanding of basic construction means and methods. • Ability to adapt to a deadline-driven and fast-paced construction environment. • Strong communication skills and client service approach. • Ability to adapt to evolving BIM software, technology, processes and services.
