Position: Staff Grade Medical Scientist. Location: Co. Louth. Type of role: Fixed term on going contract. Working hours: full time (37 h/wk), Mon- Fri. Salary: € 35-50 per annum (DOE, HSE pay scale. Job description: I am delighted to assist my client in Co. Louth, large acute hospital, in their search for an experienced Basic Grade Medical Scientist to join them . You will joining a rapidly growing Team of Highly Respected Medical Scientists. You will have experience in Biochemistry or Microbiology. Company profile: My client provides acute medical and surgical services as well as maternity services to the catchment area of Louth, Meath and the surrounding hinterland including parts of north county Dublin. Your profile: Essential requirements: BSc in Medical Laboratory Science or Biomedical Science. ACSLM membership ( or eligibility for membership is essential ) You will have min of 2 years post qualification experience in Microbiology or Biochemistry. Experience of working within Laboratory SOPs/Policies and conducting audits according to ISO15189. Have a record of continuous professional development in compliance with local licensing requirements. Desirable requirements: You will ideally also have experience in a multi - disciplinary laboratory. Must demonstrate flexibility to work in a demand driven environment, enthusiasm, adaptability. Other requirements. You will have an ability to be flexible to the service requirements. You will be of good character and excellent communication skills. Good computer skills. You will speak Fluent English.
