The Job: Lead & motivate the Procurement & Sales team & ensure that they receive appropriate support, training & development to achieve their potential. Maintain strong working relationships with long-term suppliers & customers to assure quality, fulfilment, value & delivery targets are met. Negotiate effectively & efficiently in terms of product quality specification, volume, delivery & value with both suppliers & customers. Undertake farm & store visits; attend meetings with growers & supermarkets on a regular basis internally & externally. Communicate effectively with Production, Quality, Logistics & other relevant departments to plan daily & effectively. Undertake work involving market & industry trends, promotions, packaging & marketing strategy. Manage daily orders from suppliers & complete PO's on the system. Manage contracts/programs to ensure continuity & timelines of supply. Respond to & resolve queries daily from customers & suppliers efficiently. Monitor stock levels against sales projections & plan accordingly. Ensure stock counts are performed & reconciled. Visit farms and do all the admin associated with the role. The Person: Bachelor's Degree in a Business or supply chain related discipline is important. 4 years' experience in a Procurement role with some management of sales will be considered. Knowledge & experience in the FMCG Sector ideally. Excellent negotiator & communicator: verbal & written. Excellent attitude & willing to learn. Strong organisational, problem-solving & analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint) & ERP experience is an advantage. Willingness to travel from time to time as needed mainly within Ireland. A competitive salary with pension are on offer for the successful person.
