Production Manager. Location: Louth. Sector: Engineering/Manufacturing. Our client is in operation for over 40 years. They have a steady and solid workforce. They are now seeking to hire a production manager into their team on a permanent basis. We are looking to speak with candidates that come from a manufacturing/engineering background, someone that is experienced in working in an environment offering bespoke engineering solutions. This is not an automated environment, it is a cell production unit and ideally you will come from a similar background. We are looking for candidates that can drive operational efficiencies, improve planning and scheduling and aid in the overall implementation of lean. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for efficient planning, implementation, supervision and control of the manufacturing schedule and process. Plan, organize, and direct optimum day-to-day operations. Required to produce weekly and monthly production plans showing status of all projects during manufacture and testing phases. Ensure customer orders are prepared within appropriate timescales. Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. Be responsible for production output and finished product quality. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilise assets to produce optimal results. Maintain regular contact with other departments to ensure that they are aware of production requirements and to identify potential problems. This includes provision of advice and support to other departments on production issues. Development of our lean processes. Take leadership role in the operational management of the Plant playing a key role in the delivery of the core Plant KPIs. Skills and Experience required: * Third level Qualification. * Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience ideally within a manufacturing business. * Ability to multitask and prioritise. * Excellent attention to detail. * Flexibility will be required within this role.
