Moulding & Tool Room Leader - County Louth. In this role you will provide technical support and leadership to Moulding Technicians, and improve the Overall Equipment Effectiveness for all moulding equipment through effective maintenance programs. Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical support and leadership to Moulding Technicians to deliver targetted Overall Equipment Efficiencies; • Lead shift start-up meetings with Moulding Technicians, ensuring clear prioritised actions and KPI's are assigned and measured. Attend daily and weekly review meetings as required; • Support the requirements of the Quality Management System ISO13485, FDA and EHS requirements; • Develop and execute an effective planned maintenance program to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and to improve OEE. Maintain maintenance records at prescribed frequencies using approved systems; • Develop and execute best practice for the set-up, start up, operation and shutdown of moulding presses, robotics and ancillary equipment; • Lead problem-solving initiatives in moulding to identify root causes and implement effective countermeasures; • Active involvement in the quality improvement process and continuous improvement activities including 5s and housekeeping within moulding department; • Budget planning and maintenance within the moulding function. Liaise and manage moulding vendors and suppliers; • Management of all Mould spares and process parameters to ensure optimal mould performance and compliance to validated requirements. Lead/support new validations as required. Interested applicants should have a solid educational background with a Degree in Engineering, Polymer Science or Mechanical Engineering or similar, with at least 3 years' injection moulding experience. You will have strong team leadership experience to deliver targeted OEE results. Previous experience with the installation and qualification of high-volume multi-cavity moulds and presses is desirable. The ideal candidate will display excellent multi-tasking, communication and prioritisation skills. Good literacy and numeracy skills and relevant employment experience.
