Description

Process Engineer - Co. Louth. The overall aim of this role is to optimise Process Performance. The key responsibilities of the position are to provide technical support, guidance and direction to production, maintenance and quality departments. Key tasks and responsibilities: This role requires a strong technical background to interact with various departments at all stages of the production process both as hands-on and also in a technical support / specialist role. Key responsibilities are: • Process performance including heat transfer applications, material/mass balances and process design. • Resolve manufacturing problems and implementation of improvement programs. • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of documented manuals/processes. • Responsible for directing contractors on specific jobs or projects. • Assist with equipment overhauls, project start-ups and commissioning. • Routine reporting and analysis of plant performance. • Process investigations arising from shift issues. •Overall plant performance reporting. • Knowledge of Process Improvement. • Automation improvments / suggestions. • Knowledge of SAP and PEMAC. • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma. Projects: • Assist Senior Engineers and Managers with projects and process improvements assignments. • Project work emanating from identified process improvements. Energy: Plant efficiency: optimisation of gas, electricity and water use. Quality: • Monitor and improve equipment performance and Quality Control issues. • Process management for optimum quality and throughputs production. • Actively participate and help manage Internal and External Quality Audits. Health & Safety: • Work to high standards in all areas of safety. • Implement best practice in Health & Safety standards across all departments. • To carry out all company safety procedures e.g. Pre-job safety meeting, blue book Risk assessments, isolation and permits etc. • To wear all necessary personnel protection equipment as per the company rules e.g. safety glasses, helmet, boots etc. Environmental: • Environmental engineering and performance monitoring. • Environmental awareness to comply with license. • Assist Process Manager in ensuring the Operation of the plant is full compliance with EPA plant license. Interested applicants should have: Minimum 3 years' relevant experience. Knowledge of Contractor Management. Chemical Engineer degree. Ideally Continuous Improvement and Project Management skills.
